This is why I asked here, I guess somebody should have tried it too. I think we just have to find the correct DTB, maybe from some Libreelec build.

You mentioned Popcorn Hour and I am looking forward to build some kind of media centre similar to Popcorn Hour.
Instead of buying a Raspberry Pi I want to give Pine's Rock64 a try, but it seems finding out a well tested Linux distro or pre-compiled binaries is not as straigth forward as in the RPi world is. I assume this is a hardworkers' community and I want to support it.
Can you provide me with good advice about buying a Rock64 or a Rock64PRO. I want to play video (mostly HD and some in HEVC but very rare) and transmit audio with a bluetooth adapter.Thanks.

You could try Android. Once installed you can use the many media apps available out there. Android 9 rooted works very well on the Rock64. Just a suggestion.

By Android 9 rooted you mean the same distro/flavor of Google's Android or some kind of "Degoogleized" version?

Rooted. Full access to all aspects of the OS. No Google Play Store either. Use ADB to install your Apps. Much better setup too.

Do you have some link to working Android for RockBox? I installed Linux but I prefer to go back to stock Android.

hello I have installed rock64 armbian debian bullseye, on the emmc card and I have an ssd disk by usb3, the disk is mounted in /etc/fstab, but every day approx it gives me an error
blk_update_request: critical target error, dev sda, sector 250069504 op 0x0

Do you have another computer you could use to check the integrity of your SSD drives. Possibly a faulty batch. Alternatively could you install the Armbian Buster distribution and try that. Bullseye is known to be quite buggy at the moment.

But the ssd, it worked perfectly, a day before with ubuntu 18, but with bullseye it gives those I/O failures
I have put another different ssd and after a few days it gives the same error
