Eventually got round to trying it on my Rock64, all I can say is awesome work for an alpha. most things seem to work pretty flawlessly, the problems I did note were mainly down to the controllers, would only recognise a wired Xbox 630 controller, none of my cheap USB SNES controllers, homemade USB arcade controller or Bluetooth 8bitdo would work. The wired controllers were being picked up by the system (ssh's into the box and had a bole about) but info not reaching emulationstation. Limited keyboard and settings available. But hey, it's alpha, I hope these will be sorted soon. Most MAME worked well, Playstation was flawless, N64, well, graphic glitches.

One thing that utterly blew me away was transferring roms, Gigabit ethernet v old Raspberry pi makes all the difference in setting up.

Keep up the excellent work.

Hello Luke,
First, great work !

I've tried the Alpha version in GitHub.
I'm using a monitor DVI. So I have a cable adaptor HDMI > DVI.
For the sound I would like to use the A/V jack.
In the audio settign I've only HDMI. I've tried to force "jack" manually the recalbox conf file. It doesn't work.

To be sure it was not a hardware issue, I've tried with other linux distri, and lakka, it works fine.
(I did not try with a HDMI monitor).

Any idea about this ? (On the video you've put tho show your work on Recalbox/Rock64 there was no sound as well).

Best regards !!

stealthbanana,
Yes, the alpha has a limited controller compatibility. Beta will be much better in this respect.

pascal06n,
Indeed, the jack doesn't work on the alpha image and there is no easy way to get it working. Obviously it will work nicely on our upcoming beta - just hang tight. The alpha is there really just for testing and as a proof of concept.

Thanks Smile

I'm not seeing anything in the github with the exception of a text file. Is this still being actively worked on?

Just to explain what is happening. We've got a completed build, but the issue is that it doesn't boot on some boards (kernel panic) while it boots on others. This is really what we've been troubleshooting and debugging for quite some time - nearly a month. But we're there now in terms of stability. Just some finishing touches. Thank you for your patience Wink
