I didn't find one in my box, but I believe that you can solder that on to either the power or reset footprints by the usb ports. You can find more info in this thread: http://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=67&highlight=power+button

Time to whip out that soldering iron...

Thank you!

sorry to be a know-nothing but I'm still wet behind the ears here.

My Pine has an extra switch! - chrisotherwise - 04-05-2016

Hi,

I have just received my Pine A64 board and found that there was a little switch floating around
in the box with it (pic attached). The switch doesn't have any solder on so I don't think it's been knocked off
the board.

Does anybody know where it might go - and if I should solder it on? There are some holes
labelled "reset" that look like they might fit it?

Many thanks for any help.

The switch comes loose with every Pine64 board, because some backers wanted it and others didn't. You can solder it on the "Power" or "Reset" area found on the right side of the image here: http://wiki.pine64.org/images/7/7d/Pine64_Board_Connector.png

It's totally optional, you don't need it to use your board, but some like it as a convenience.

Darn, guess I have to check the bag again. Didn't find the switch in my package and used my own :-)

Cheers

Could I please get a part number for that switch? I'd like another one to solder on my Pine-board. Both power and reset accessible would be nice.

I didn't notice one in my box when I received it, so I just took a look on the floor around my desk where I opened the package and I found the switch under my desk. Must have fell out when I opened it. Smile

There was a little button floating loose in the box along with the pine board.

Did anyone else get the same thing?

If so, what should I do with it. I am assuming it is some sort of add on power button.

Thanks,
Adam

You have assumed correctly! Smile

Time to whip out that soldering iron...

I received the same and thought it had dropped off as the board was put in the inner packing!  A little note would have been appreciated!

Mine was not in the box, but the bottom of the envelope.
