RE: Debian Jessie Images (3.10.102 BSP Kernel) New Release - androsch - 10-13-2016

At some point I get really odd behavior like recursive windows popping open that can't be stopped, write errors on boot etc. and while it was running I wasn't able to get the wifi working. Each reboot it seems to deteriorate to the point where it won't boot anymore, I get about 3 reboots then I have to reimage. I've tried USB writer and Image Writer, Win32 Disk Imager. Any other suggestions? I bought two of these cards at the same time and the other one is working fine in my 2GB pine so I don't think it's the card (2 pack from Costco).
May also be powering issues, they also cause some weird behaviour....
Do you have sufficient power resp. even using EULER bus?

Got everything installed, booted a couple of times, now it will not accept the debian password??

This is probably not a password problem, per se; rather, it is more probably a memory issue-- 512 is simply not enough.

my bad... sorry... I thought your version was 512... never mind.

I am at a loss to understand why the signon would not allow the debian password; other than corruption of the SD card....

Update, really strange, left board at the log in screen for a few hours and changed TV inputs so I could use another Android box. Came back to this board and was able to sign in. Now have to figure out how to get settings to 1080p instead of 720p, because the top and bottom bars are off screen.

Glad you got your signon to work.

Only you know that.

... obviously one thing to check is that your keyboard is in lower case; userids and passwords are case sensitive.

You may have downloaded the wrong image... try ubuntu | ubuntu

Solved! Corrupt image. downloaded new image and all good

Thx for the input. I did purchase it with the power supply so I wouldn't have to waste any time trying to eliminate that problem. I do have to admit power was my gut feel. I do have some name brand 2-3 amp tablet chargers here that I could possibly try....

RE: Debian Jessie Images (3.10.102 BSP Kernel) New Release - igor - 11-06-2016

Good day.
Is it possible to upgrade from jessie to streth line? I'v tried, but unsuccessful. I disabled jessie repos, enabled stretch repo, made -upgrade and then -dist-upgrade. But cannot to start Xorg due to "ABI version mistmach". (i want to install Teamviewer from Raspbian, it needs more last versions of libraries. And more - trere is no Double Commander and normal mplayer in jessie repo) (i am new in linux, just playing)
