Much faster. Windows draw snappily without the lag of Ubuntu Mate. Apps launch must faster. Misfit 3D launches in about 10 s on the standard Ubuntu and in 2 s on Q4OS. I  must admit to being disappointedted with the performance of most of the distro's until I tried Q4OS. Big thanks to the devs.

On the 1st page of this post it mentions a shortcut to install Q4OS to an eMMC. I have the latest version but no shortcut on the desktop. Has it been removed?

Been running this on SD card for a few days, and must say I am well impressed. I always thought KDE3 was an excellent desktop, which alas was ruined by too many 'design' type people being involved with KDE4, making it almost unusable. Thankfully evolved into KDE5 and is now back to being very very usable. I tried KDE5 on my normal pinebook install, alas a bit slow, but Q4OS runs a treat, I urge everyone to at least give it a try.

@Mayumi
Are you sure, you have downloaded the Pinebook image, not the Pine64 one ? Would you provide a screenshot of your desktop ?

I agree.
even armbian pinebook edition's xfce desktop runs snappier than pinebook's own ubuntu mate!

and if i ever have to install a "windows-like, userfriendly" distro for somebody else's old hardware, Q4OS it will be.
+10 for having a pinebook edition! Also Debian's stable policy is the right choice here.
I was very impressed (although personally i like to go much more spartan).

Yes, I have installed Q4OS for the Pinebook. I have also installed Gparted and it won't recognize the Emmc. It is probably the same problem (Emmc not found/recognized) that has been mentioned before about copying the Xenial image to Emmc. Somehow there is a problem with the modules that are currently shipped. I have a 64GB module installed. I have not attached a screenshot because the option is definitely not there.
