Quick update for those eagerly waiting for their Pinebook. The first batch of 14" units will go out tomorrow. As for 11" units, they should follow shortly after.

Great! I really want to have the Pinebook 14 "

I'm tempted - but stung so badly by the lack of software (i.e. Linux) for the plain + board (i.e. 2 GB board) - I think I'll hold off for while...

I'd be REALLY interested to read a no holds barred review of either the 11 or 14, running Linux...  so far all I'm seeing is marketing...

How can i get that?
I am Very Excited now.

UnixOutlaw,

I am not sure I understand what you mean by "the lack of software (i.e. Linux)" -- are you referring to issues running software requiring 3D acceleration as well as accelerated video playback or something else?

Yes, it will be good to see the reviews of the production unit.

Can I buy 11' directly from China? like on taobao.com, as I see the whole manufacture is in China.

Not to my knowledge. Perhaps after all the BTOs go out, and the Pinebook will be available in the shop, other outlets will pick it up too (?)

Just getting back to tinkering with my Pine 2GB board. While the Pine introduced me to SBCs (and that's a good thing), the lack of support after the fact seemed dissapointing. Tell you what, help the community solve HW acceleration on LInux, I'll get one....

<throws down gauntlet> Kodi will work on a Raspberry, how about you?
