Hi tllim, I'm a March 2GB backer and I chose these add-ons: acrylic case, wifi/bt board and HDMI-VGA adapter.
When will this ship? I'm asking since I don't see the adapter being mentioned that it's in stock at your warehouse.

Sorry that I miss on mentioned HDMI-VGA adapter, this adapter just arrived on this week. From current dispatching activity, your shipment should be out in either next week or the week after due to all items already in stock.

I can only imagine what sort of logistical headaches they are going through, plus all the unforeseen expenses trying to hit scale in such a short time.

With margins as tight as they're cutting for their board, I imagine the folks at pine are due some slack, since this is their first delivery of their boards.

I would imagine if I suddenly had to fulfill 80k boards instead of a thousand or so like they were initially hoping for, I would soil my shorts.

To those who keep asking for status updates, I would wait for them to plow through their initial order some before demanding updates on what is being shipped when.  By getting nervous and asking tons of one-off questions, you are only making it take longer for everyone.

I know it's exciting, but don't let your enthusiasm take away your enjoyment when you finally get your board by making you impatient.  Many journalists predicted that the pine64 would be available early 2017.  Personally, I think even if I get my board in first half of 2016, they're doing great.

Just my two cents,
John

Hi John,

my apology to you (and anybody else) for being impatient. Yes, this is exciting product and I'd like to have it in my hands to start testing.
The whole post was triggered by miss communication about delay of yet another module (5mpx camera). Tllim already corrected that and there won't be delay that long. In the meantime will focus on python programming and HW components (1602 and 2004 displays, i2C modules for displays, step and servo motors, temperature and humidity sensors, rs232 module) which already arrived. And I also promise to avoid another emotional posts. Smile

As long as I can get everything I need, and can get it all working by June, I'll be happy, lol.

RE: Shipping Progress - jmonteiro - 03-24-2016

Hello, I'm backer #755 and placed an order for a "PINE A64+ w/2GB SDRAM Early Bird", as addons I added another board (same model) a US power supply and a remote control.

Any idea when my order will ship? It has been on "Ready to Ship" for a while now.

Thanks,
Jorge

@Peter and John, thanks on the understanding, the new camera module tested good and parameters optimized, production already started and vendor will delivered on early April. This is an "auto focus" version, the RPi one is "fixed focus". We decided on "auto focus", even costs 40% more to us, due to believe end user interest in this one, and we will absolve this cost increase by thinner margin. Vendor also supply "fixed focus" module to us as samples, we will not mass produce this version unless there is volume request. FYI,  the multi camera project may select to use "fixed focus" version.
