Hi.

Sorry, for the price of the thing, I decided to put it to rest and wait for the other one to come in.

Thanks everyone for pitching in.

so, I take it that it didn't work ? sorry :/

[edit] I just looked at the pictures in your sig. Did you have one of those large heatsinks attached when the board fell ? If so, then perhaps it damaged a trace / shorted something out as it moved or slipped ?

Yes it did.

I don't think it did as it's spaced with a copper spacer and it all was squishy in CPU thermal paste. And I did inspect the board thoroughly.

It served its time well. Always the best leaving us first. Couldn't a banana pi m3 have died in its place?

Thanks to you all.

You forgot to mention the half-dozen resistors tacked across the 3.3v and 5v rpi/euler power pins to ensure maximum smoke/bang and ensure minimum disappointment Wink (look up BigClive's resistor roulette if you don't get it!)

RE: I dropped my Pine64 - DukeJustice - 11-07-2016

Thanks to you all...

Ended up buying 3 more Pine64's.

  1. to replace the one I just dropped/broke.
  2. to replace the one I am using to replace the one I dropped, in case I drop it too.
  3. to make sure I still have on in case I drop them both.
Now, i DO wish I make the Nov 11th shipment.

Have a great evening.
