What frequency range will be needed for use in Thailand?

It looks like there is a recommendation to go with the EU version in Thailand (it doesn't have its own frequency reserved). Source

Thank you very much, that would be great!

Should we hold off replying to the surveys while you explore this possibility, do you think?

1. The Thailand using EU version.

2. You can hold off for two weeks, I will check with Mitsumi (ZWave model vendor) whether they can provide small volume quantity.

Hello @tllim - have you had any luck in discovering if a small run of the 921MHz Z-Wave chips is possible?  I am holding off answering the survey as you suggested.  Thanks!

I will meet up with Mitsumi folks on next week and explore.

FYI, I found this article about Mitsumi which basically says they were brought on as a second manufacturer of Z Wave 500 series devices.  So I think the boards are Z-Wave Plus, Mitsumi just has a different series numbering than what Sigma uses.

The Mitsumi module is ZWave Plus, their part number different than Sigma.

What is everyone else doing as far as waiting for the (possible) AU version? Holding off on doing the survey/order, or just ordering and hoping to add later?

RE: Australia/New Zealand Z-Wave module - rbrett - 03-09-2016

Hi, Can I please add my voice to those who are disappointed that the z-wave module ins't shipping with AU frequency support? Also the confusion over whether z-wave, or z-wave plus support...

I'm currently expecting a z-wave module, but if there is no 921.42Mhz version forthcoming, I will need to change my order...

RE: Australia/New Zealand Z-Wave module - tllim - 03-09-2016

We will make same quantity (100 pieces) of AU version using Sigma ZM5304AH Z-Wave Plus module. Please note that the build cost is more than double and we definitely loss money on manufacturing this small batch. However, for the Pine A64 Australia and New Zealand KS backer, we decided to do it. Please note that from part order to the module build up, it takes about 8-10 weeks lead time. I will include this ZWave AU module selection onto the Backerkit tomorrow.
Cheers,
TL Lim

Thank you so much!  That means I can now finalise my order.  I will be getting quite a bit of stuff, so hopefully that will offset the extra cost of the AU modules for you.  Thank you very much again - this is great news, and very generous of Pine!

I have already informed KS team to add-in ZWave AU module into backer kit and should be available tomorrow.

Wow thanks this is great news. For some reason I never got notified of the replies to this thread - just went into look at my survey and couldn't see the module there then realised last post was only a few hours ago Smile Will have a look tomorrow.
