I've just tried the non-tv version (android-5.1-pine-a64-v1.2-r16.img.gz) and root/SuperSU is working as expected Smile

However, it looks like there are no Google apps included in this one. Do we have to flash them separately? If so, is there a custom recovery and how do we access it?

Thanks again for all your work!

Not sure if there are any easier ways to do this (I'm sure somebody will let you know soon), but you can use APK Mirror to get the Google apps you desire. Save them to a USB drive, then install from the USB drive on the pine via ES File Explorer.

Unfortunately that won't work for the apps that need to be in /system, you can't just install them like they were a regular apk. Ayufan mentions OpenGApps in the 7.0 thread, so hopefully that will also work with this one.

It requires Google Cast certificates that we do not have.

You can't. It requires google approved device. Pine is not such device.

Any word about gapps on the non-tv build, ayufan?

RE: Android TV 5.1.1 with HDMI and 4K - ayufan - 10-08-2016

xtcrefugee: I do not plan to work on 5.1.1. Please use 7.0 it has everything, expect DRM support.

If you need Gapps on 5.1, you can sideload them from OpenGapps.org.
