Why do you want to use 24hz?

Most of my media is 24fps. Looks much better on my tv if that media is played at 24hz since it has adaptive motion smoothing built-in. Also when I use kodi to watch IPTV using tvheadend the DVB-T channels are PAL 25fps. In all cases using 60fps the video appears to stutter every second or so. I think this the 2:3 pulldown issue. It would be great if we could use chainfire's TVHZ app to specify kodi to run at 24fps. Currently when I use the app only 60fps is shown. Is this a simple fix by adding another resource value like 1080p 24fps to your tv settings github project ayufan-pine64/packages-apps-TvSettings?

Yes. Here are values for other resolutions: https://github.com/longsleep/sunxi-disp-tool/blob/master/disp2/tv_mode.go.

Great thanks! I've cloned the TVSetings source code, is there a simple way to build only this apk? I've tried importing it into Android Studio and make it a gradle project but there seems to be compilation errors regarding floats.xml float_type.

I couldn't find the compilation guide you linked on the first post.

Thanks,

Steve

I'm not sure if it's specific to the builds but there's absolutely an on-screen keyboard on the nexus player, as well as the Sharp Aquos 4K tv that I have.

were do i find file build.props?

Thank you

ayufanOther change is that default resolution is 1080p, previously 720p.

Playstore seems to be working after tweaking build.prop and configuring:

Code:
ro.product.model=fugu
ro.product.brand=Android
ro.product.name=fugu
ro.product.device=fugu
ro.product.board=exdroid

Disabling IPv6 solves a missing video on Google Movies.

Works great. Any support for Netflix? How do I expand the storage space? I'm using a macbook pro with 10/8.5.

Get Netflix on here and expand the storage to the full 64GB, and I'm set.

*Update*
Nevermind about Netflix, I got that installed and working just fine.

You can probably resize it with osx disk utility. I used GParted to do this.

hey all, first i would like to thank the thread author,
so far i was disappointed from my Pine, and now i feel that AndroidTV is in hand...

Anyway, I don't know what i am doing wrong, but AndroidTV is freezed, and i really need your assistance.

I have downloaded the following image (421Mb) 1.2: jenkins-android-5.1-pine-a64-16.[url=https://github.com/ayufan-pine64/android-5.1/releases/tag/1.2][/url]
Installed it using RasPlex, which have passed successfully.
powered the Pine64 on, connected to my TV, followed the instructions, and paired my google account as requested.
Again, everything was smoothed till this part. but from this point, pine64 is not responsive at all.
i can see the main window of AndroidTV, with several Youtube options,  the options at the bottom of the screen,
but i can't make anything work. i have clicked everything on the screen but nothing happened.
I am using an ordinary PC mouse, which is connected directly to the pine64.

General comment: i don't know if there is any connection to this behaviour, but My pine64 showed very slow lan connection (i havn't purchased the Wifi Module) on previous android images.
just noticed that limiting the lan connection to 100Mbs can resolve it.
I don't know if it can be done by setting bandwidth limit on my router (TPLINK 1043nd).

anyway, what i am doing wrong?

RE: Android TV 5.1.1 with HDMI and 4K - ayufan - 10-02-2016

gorzany: currently it's impossible to limit to 100Mbps. I plan to add an app that would allow that.

Maybe you have to use better SD card?

You can also try this release: https://github.com/ayufan-pine64/android-5.1/releases/tag/1.1

I tried using Disk Utility, but it would not let me modify the partitions for the SD card.
