RE: The C4 Labs pine 64 case - Bluphire - 07-11-2016

I mailed off my pine to C4 Labs today for improvements to be made. Any recommendations should be made in a timely fashion as I do not anticipate it taking very long to make the adjustments I suggested as well as others and then mine will be shipped back to me. After that you will have to wait until Dustin gets his pine to make any new adjustments to case design.

- Just a quick follow up - I am a bit behind and will wait until I receive Bluphire's Pine, so I can align the fan mounts with the CPU.

Thanks for the support everyone!

This evening I finished the updates. I attached a picture of the fan top. I also added cut outs for the optional buttons that can be soldered on. I should have taken a picture of the of the case without the fan attached, but I copied the pattern used on the Invasion case. the vents look pretty modern, but easily allow a 40mm fan to be attached. Conveniently the vents are perfectly centered on the case and the edge of the fan lines up with the CPU. Ill work on getting the fan case listed tomorrow, but any orders from now on will have the button cut outs.

MarkHaysHarris777 - I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to make a stacked case for the Pine, but it's layout just about makes it impossible. Something I encounter repeatedly is that the people making the board don't think about case requirements. The pine in particular has ports spread all over the place.

dkryder - what internals are you accessing? Magnets are something I have played with, but like Marcus pointed out, easy access can sometimes be a bad thing. I think there is a great design waiting to be made, it just hasn't happened yet.
