I hope to get my board very soon (Feb group). I will try bringing this up as well as a Debian Jessie image running on a 4.4 kernel. We have a large project at my work that runs on that configuration in an ARM64 environment.

What's the latest? It's been quiet on here since you posted about successfully booting via intercept.

Things have improved vastly, thanks to Simon (@longsleep). He has published ready to use images for Ubuntu and Archlinux. The Debian setup uses his U-boot and BSP kernel as well, but I didn't add a GUI environment as I use the Pine headless. The status regarding the mainline kernel hasn't changed so far from the end-user perspective. IMO this thread may be closed now, because it has become obsolete. We may continue the discussion here.
