Hey everyone,

While downloading some of the images, I noticed the bandwidth is pretty limited.  Would it be ok if I hosted the same exact files on a site of my own?

I would use the exact same files and list the same hash. Just trying to offload some of the load and offer fast downloads.
would be helpful, 13hour downloads are not fun
How about hosting a torrent? I'll be happy to join in and help seed if you can get it going.
I would also help to seed the files via torrent with 100 MBit/s upload rate.
What is your ISP? I thought my 20mbps upload was good, boy was i wrong!
My local provider doesn't provide 100 MBit/s upload. Wow, that would be amazing!
It's about 100/10 MBit/s download/upload.

I'm using different VPS (Virtual Private Server / vServer) for it.
My VPS providers allows me to seed files via torrent for Pine64 Smile
Ok, working on creating the torrents now.

Ok here is the torrent for the Debian Linux with Mate as well as the Xubuntu Xenial image. I will create the others shortly.

Please keep in mind that starting a torrent like this means those old OS images can live for a long time and bring further support issues.

And this way it's also ensured that fixes that are available in the meantime won't be applied (regarding consequences see this example regarding performance now and then). It's so funny
It also means that current OS images can be used by more people, helping out to find more bugs to fix them. It's as simple as removing the old torrent links and replacing them with new torrent links if there is an update.
