Why are we not supposed to use HDMI to DVI adapters? When will this be supported? Every display I want to use only has DVI input.

You can use one, it just doesn't work. I went back and looked at the FAQ on the KS page and see nothing about DVI support. Dont feel bad currently it only supports one resolution over hdmi as well and that has me blocked from using the hdmi as my monitor doesnt support it.

From the options in Android it looks like it supports 720p and 1080p, no? I hooked it up to the big TV, and that worked. I have it hooked up to a monitor I was using for something else, for now.
I want to say that HDMI -> DVI, as well HDMI -> VGA converters work for me. Crossover 3020mdp monitor (2560x1600 native). Brand of the converters unknown. You can give it a try, but I know many people do have problems. Maybe I am just lucky.
I tried two 1680x1050 displays and they didn't work, but I don't know that proves much. I doubt either one advertises 720p and they certainly don't do 1080p. It's quite disappointing though, because this is a problem I thought I wouldn't have again after I returned my Ouya.
More resolutions are now supported by some images (including 720p) - look in the respective forums to find out more.
