Its 40/50 pin FFC ribbon connector by the looks of it not a M.2 connector apart from that which is a huge difference identical

As opposed to what? The original pinebook? Well, that would be simple... the A64 processor on the original pinebook doesn't support PCIe, hence no PCIe->NVMe.

Sorry I though this would be clear because we are in rockpro64 subforum, but I should have clarify that
I mean the pinebook pro is also using a rockpro64 board (but modified) , but I suppose stuartiannaylor is right: there is no way to connect it because no 40/50 pin FFC connector on rockpro.

lol... yeah... it's nothing more than a M-keyed M.2 -> FFC ribbon connector, just like how the rockpro64 adapter is a M-keyed M.2 one, but to PCIe x4 in that instance. I've actually ordered one of these riser card extenders to see if I can mount the NVMe adapter card differently... as then I can think about putting the rockpro64 in a case...
