Please can you elaborate Debian wiki chapter installation

I am nooby, do not understand installation chapter.
Especially step 2.

This is what I trying:
Flashing pine64-plus.img to SD card (Etcher)
And after that "something silly" with Gparted.

Burning images to SD card is basic stuff. Thanks Raspberry  images and Etcher.
