Hi, I received my BTO code yesterday for the 11” Pinebook. I’m only interested in ordering if the screen is 1080p. The product page still lists the 1366x768 resolution. Can you confirm which screen I would receive if I ordered today?

Thanks!

As far as I know since ~October 2018 all 11" Pinebooks are 1080p.
Mine is.
So you should be all right :-)
The one I got also has a 1080p screen. I got mine around October as well

I figure this question is being posed a lot. I asked while ago. Then the reply was "1080p". I have no clue why Pine don't update the specifications on their website and in the web-store. Other than that Pine does a great job in being communicative and transparent in my opinion.

The answer is quite simple really; orders for the Pinebook are taken many weeks (sometimes more if timeline slips) before BTO construction begins -- so we don't know, at the time of BTOs coming in, if we will get a good deal on a 1080p panel or if we'll have to revert back to 768p. So, its better to underpromise than overpromise.
Let me stress this again - the Pinebook doesn't make PINE64 any money ... Its just a community service.

Thank you for the explanation. Now that makes sense to me.
As long as the Pinbook Pro gets the 1080p IPS panel with the thin bezel, all is good. Smile
The price points for Pinbook and the Pinbook Pro are more than fair. It would be just fair if you would make at least a little bit of money. Thank you for making these devices a reality.
