I got the Pine64 2GB and flashed Android 03032016 image and it's working great so far.

For the push button, I connected it as a power button. When I push the button with android running, the display goes blank but the red light on the Pine64 stays on. So, it seems to continue to be at running state but no display. But I don't know how to bring back the display. If I unplug and plug back the power cable, it reboots just fine.

Could anyone explain how the power button is supposed to work on Android?

Press it harder! Or better, a bit longer, like a second or so. This will bring up a menu with the options to reboot or to shutdown.

I would guess that pressing it short enabled standby or hibernate or something along these lines, but I don't seem to find a way to wake it back up.

Just like a power button works on Android tablet and smartphone.
Thanks Keex and tllim. Your replies make sense.

I will try it and post the results.
Ok. I tried it.

Like Keex said:
1. If I just push it for a moment, display is turned off.
2. If I push it for more than a second or so, the power menu shows up.
3. If I push it for more than 10 seconds or so, it forcefully powers off the device.

, is there anyway to bring the display back for #1 ?
If it works like a button on Android phones or tablets, I'd imagine just push it for a moment again. That's how the display comes back on with the phones and tablets.
Got the same problem. A short press on the power-button and the screen turns greyscale and then off.
If i press a button on the keyboard/mouse within ONE second it wakes up again. If it takes any longer than that single second the TV shows "No input" message and nothing turns the Pine back on. I can force-shutdown the pine by holding the power button for ~10sec. But just pressing the button does nothing.
I can allso mention that when forcing the pine off I can only turn it back on by pressing the "reset" button or unplugging and reinserting the powercable.

For the record I'm on Android 0216-build with my 2Gb Pine A64+

Same behavior on Android 0303 with Pine 2Gb.
Power button is not soldered, but I hold it to have good contact with board.

Thanks for checking this on the 0303 build.
Lets hope this is fixed in the next build.
For the record my buttons are soldered on.
