I found this article about the new Pinebook Pro (link), and I was interested in it. Does anybody know more about this new device?
Like the estimated launch date, etc.? The article said that the Pinebook Pro would have 64Gb storage, 802.11ac Wifi, 4Gb ram and a Hexa-core CPU?
But what interested me the most was a Nvme slot. What are your thoughts about the Pinebook Pro?
I saw that article this morning too! I would be very interested - great feature set for the price, if true.

Yes, I've registered to the forums purely for this, I watched in anticipation of the Original Pinebook, but at the time I needed a daily driver and from what little I've heard the PineBook Pro could fill the void... The article I read mentioned 2019 Q3 or Q4.
Likewise, I am also interested in the Pro.
According to Pine they are hoping for a March launch date, however I'm wondering if it'll be open orders or much like the waiting list invite system they have now.

Let me clarify this a little bit. There will be an optional adapter (but not expensive, I'm sure, so don't worry), that you will need for the slot. BTW, its using PCIe 4x interface.

Glad you're all excited Smile

Forum members will get an upgrade to 128GB
I'm in the same boat.  I registered for a Pinebook for the next shipping cycle, but I'd prefer a Pro even with the price difference.
Quite interested in this. A laptop that can handle video playback and Libreoffice at a very reasonable price could be an ideal daily driver.

Especially with an IPS screen! Smile
Registered too as I am very interested in the pro

I hope the ordering system will be improved over the current waiting list! I added my name to the BTO list months ago, and never received a confirmation. I emailed Pine to see if they just happened to have any in stock (others have posted here that it's worth asking, sometimes they have spare Pinebooks available), and although they responded they didn't appear to have a record of me being on the waiting list. So yeah, I really hope they will take open orders.
