I have been away from home for a long time and haven't used my Pinebook. I have read that an amber light would indicate the battery is charging. This light doesn't turn on, even after inserting the power cable multiple times (>10).

I have been searching the internet for a replacement battery, but the model number can not be found. The voltage 4.35V is also an unusual number. It seems that voltages are always a multiple of 3.7V.

Is there anyway I can reanimate my Pinebook? Or have I been robbed of my money with a now useless product. Angry
Have you tried to charge it for some hours? I have had this, too, but after ~2 hours of charging it worked again (After ~1h it showed the battery logo for some seconds when pressing the power button, but it did not start).

I have opened the Pinebook and unplugged the battery (read that solution somewhere), plugged it back in.

When I inserted the power adaptor the battery indicator with a lightning flash appeared shortly. I left the Pinebook like that for a whole night and this morning it started up again with a fully charged battery. With the adaptor unplugged it had roughly 6 hours of battery charge. I can't remember if that was the same as when I got the Pinebook. I am happy againĀ  Smile and will make sure not to drain the battery to 0%.
I will just gently point out that reading this post would offered up the answer...

Problem solved, however I didn't have the power plug connected while unplugging the battery from the Pinebook.
