HI all,

The Pinebook BTO page will be updated on August 1st and new Pinebook shipments will follow sometime soon after that.

Which leads me to my question: which OS would you like the new Pinebook batch to ship with? - please answer the poll.
If you have other suggestions then we're all ears ...

Thanks!
Are there any hardware improvements over the last offering?
So the shipment will follow during this year? I was thinking about ordering also 11 to my collection, but I see there is a lot of other comparable choices, like second hand chromebook for 100 € etc.
I would go with netrunner if the last few niggles could be sorted, else mate.
new kid on the block - AOSC Linux:

please add to the pool list, thanks.
We are currently considering Neon as the default OS Image.
Until the sleep mode works well, it is not a good idea. Rather Ubuntu 18.10 with KDE.

They're getting close! I can sleep my Pinebook with their latest build, it just needs some bug fixes and clamshell improvements.

I am pragmatic. I need a PineBook that works. Sound, HDMI, Sleep mode, WiFi. I can tinker with my Pine64 boards, but a portable computer is a tool, not a tinkerboard. Ubuntu 16.04 would be ok, but a lot of the software I need to run (Cura ....) isn't available for 16.04.
Ubuntu 18.04 would be my favourite, if it weren't for the supidly old 3.10 Kernel.
And the 3.10 Kernel is paired with every other choice in your list.
So,Ubuntu 18.04 for me.
