Does the 8.1 image work with the USB 3 port? I'm currently running Android 7.1.2 and if I plug anything into the USB3 port it stutters terribly.

Interesting observation regarding USB 3 port on Rock 64.
I have the same problem with LE.

I created with dd directly to usb mmc.
It boots but freezes. It does it enough to be unusable.
Same result with every Android image on either mmc or sdcard excluding Android 7.1.2 Stock Image.

4GB boards are lemons  Angry

Use Pine Installer. I tested Android stock on eMMC and preferred ayufan Android TV .
I also run LibreELEC devel-20180708142741-4dc93d7 SD Card
Very good results. Whilst not 100% these images are over 90% stable.
Android TV is very stable. Kodi from App Store works. Refresh rate change working as well.
Give it a shot and then retract the lemon quote.
You purchased a Development Board. So you are a tester as well as all others in various forums.

I just tried it and had the exact same problem. Also, it didn't work with the dual Rock64 USB 3.0 (RTL8812AU) wifi adapter. It did work with wired Ethernet, but still no Play Store.
You must go to apkmirror (like suggest Pfeerick here https://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?...3#pid39113) and download latest "Google play Android tv" , "Google play services for Android tv" and install. It works juste fine.
What about bluetooth support here ?
Sorry if that was asked already..

Do we still flash sdboot image to eMMC via USB2eMMC adapter?
The box boots to 8.1.0 recovery and does not boot OS after flashing.
Tried wipe cache and data and reset to factory but no success
Getting back to 7.1.2. Completely unusable image.
Here is what i see on 8.1 boot (flashed sdboot to eMMC via USB adaptor):

Hi Luke,

Can you please let me know the build procedure for Android 8 , we are struck at last step of packaging of all images.
Can you please kindly help, we need it urgently.

Thanks & Regards,
Mahesh

Sadly, I have no such insight. I strongly suggest you try reaching out to ayufan or ayaka in the IRC.
Hope this helps.
I tried several times flashing 8.1 with AndroidTool on EMMC, but after first reboot all I get is a black screen. 7.1.2 works fine however. Any1 managed to flash 8.1 on EMMC? (if yes, how??)
