We need a bug fix for the crashing in 2gb boards on Remix OS with the Ethernet plugged in even mines won't get passed the "Welcome" Screen.
When that problem is fixed, i will buy the Pine 64 2gb RAM model

One person has tried to use the USB lan adapater with the 2gb model and its works
I'm assuming that the ethernet adapter needs to be powered, is that correct? Does the board supply any power over USB?

Yep, I have read that. Thing is that you can't have gigabit speeds from a USB 2.0 port.

At any case, I was referring to Universal Video Class Driver which is not ported to the images yet, making video callling software like skype and USB cameras in general, incompatible with the board.

Looking into running Remix OS in an virtualized environment just to check it out..
I can't even get my board to boot past the Remix OS splash screen...
