I am willing to purchase the rock64 board for watching 4k Kodi videos. Which OS image supports the installation of kodi for watching 4k movies and programs?

PD My linux knowledge is quite limited but I have a friend who is an expert

Hey,

I suggest you use LibreElec. Its in alpha, but works very well. All 4K 30FPS files I tried worked flawlessly. Some 4K 60FPS played back well too. For more detailed responses about LibreElec please ask in the linked thread. 

The stock android image comes with RKMC which will also handle 4K playback well.
