Hello,

I Bought 64GB eMMC and USB ADAPTER FOR EMMC MODULE from pine64 and nothing happens when I connect it to computer, if I connect only the reader without eMMC then a light is turned on and computer detects the device.

Tested on diferents computers.

Can the memory be broken or maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Thank you.
What OS are you using ?

I have tried with Windows 10, 7, XP and Lubuntu on diferents computers.
1) connect the adaptor with eMMC to Ubuntu (I assume desktop). Does it show up in Disks utility or when you do?:

Code:
sudo fdisk -l

2) If the above doesn't work, please follow the instructions here and see what you get when you do
Code:
rkflashtool n

1) It doesn't show up with eMMC placed. If I connect the adaptor without eMMC then show up as "SD card reader".

2) I need to adquire a USB A-A cable, I'll try when I have it.

Also try a Android microSD to eMMC image from here, but screen remains black after "Rock 64" initial message.

Thank you for your help Smile
What about ?
Code:
sudo fdisk -l
Also, it can take a long time for Android to boot the first time from a SD card.

Code:
Disk /dev/sda: 232,9 GiB, 250059350016 bytes, 488397168 sectors
Units: sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes
Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
Disklabel type: dos
Disk identifier: 0xb2396089

Disposit.  Inicio Start     Final  Sectores   Size Id Tipo
/dev/sda1  *       2048 488396799 488394752 232,9G 83 Linux
Only shows computer HD.

Wait several minutes for Android, maybe not enough. SD card become unusable after some attempts.

Thank you.

Hmmm, perhaps you could join the IRC and have someone help you troubleshoot further and determine if its a fault with the eMMC itself.
