Any plans on bumping the specs up in the pinebook?
Would like to know if there are plans for going from quadcore to octocore
from 2GB to 4GB, 8GB or 16GB RAM
from 64gb emmc to 128 or 126gb emmc + m.2 slot for a ssd
from bgn to abgn or abgn/ac
from hd to fhd or 2k
and is possible to do that while keeping the all-white chassis (and possibly adding a gold color choice).
If it isn't possible? What is preventing it from being possible?

Stay tune for 2018 development. The major issue on preventing form being possible is current crazy component price hike.

Ok. But there is no laws or patents interfering? Also is there any law or patent mandating laptops to have a black chassis in order to be elegible to have higher specs? (I ask because, at least in the x86 world, only black laptops have high specs, the colorfule ones like the HP stream can only be found in the low end of the spec spectrum).

No idea on such "law" or "patent". Anyway, may be such rules apply in WiHec world.
