That explains why USB 3 works for me again. Thanks for fixing it, and I really hope it works for everyone else. Awesome work and very quick response!
Android 7.1.2 Stock Image [microSD Boot] [Rooted] [20171204] easily hang on ROCK64 4GB.
ayufan mentioned his Android regular (not ATV) build doesn't work on ROCK64 4GB board.

if anyone know if there is a stable Android 7.x eMMC build for ROCK54 4GB board, please share. Many thanks!

Are you booting from SD Card?  If you do, can you try different SD Card?

pgmy64, I have two same 32GB SD Card from Samsung, which is used for my Raspberry PI. Both are same. I did use eMMC 32GB bought from pine64.org, but it didn't boot from the build "Android 7.1.2 Stock Image [eMMC Boot] [Rooted] [20171204]"

if you know one particular 32GB SD card with model number (so I can buy from amazon.com), please share.
Thanks

Android 7.1.2 Stock Image [eMMC Boot] [Rooted] [20171204] is not a raw image to be use for 'dd', it is use for using Rockchip tools to program the eMMC over the USB OTG.

I don't have any specific SD Card model to recommend but need to make sure it is at least Class 10 and not the counterfeit SD Card.
Hi, thank you for the android images, they work well on my rock64. I only would wish to see newer security patches for android. The last security patch is from april. The purpose for the rock64 is to be connected with the internet. How secure are the builds? Would it not be important to have the newest security patches?

Hey Richzhai. I found that etcher is sketchy, winimage was fine, but really what worked for me was rufus. I have a standard 16gb sdmicro, with a usb converter. Formatted, chose image; rufus booted both android which ayufan claims didn't work DID! wireless and all on both worked! I also used it to install the xenial which also booted! Both of which failed to boot using etcher and winimage! I booted into Linux to unzip the (rock64****.**.**136.)img.xz make sure you use a ntfs disk to extract onto. In androids case that's not necessary, small enough! It took a couple of boots, but worked smoothly, easily and don't understand why everyone suggested etcher? I also burned LAKKA, but etcher was utterly useless IMHO. I've been using PI's for awhile and expected the ROCK64 to be difficult, but it wasn't; just with etcher! I see all kinds of problems with people who can't boot! For that matter, I suppose other usb boot tools Like YUMI, also should work great! Anyway, I switched between Linux and windows to extract then burn on the microsd card.

Hope this helps you get going. Wireless worked on both android and xenial, everything was fine with rufus! I had to restart android after first install because I forgot to insert the USB wireless dongle, but after the reboot, worked nicely, recognized wireless and all! ayufan claims it doesn't work? I don't know why!

I have the rock64 with 4gb, and am going to order a 64gb mmc card now! Cards just don't read well...

Cheers. and good luck...

Digigil...
How to format eMMC module purchased for ROCK64? I don't have any x-over to USB for that module. I've installed android TV version, now when I install pure android android logo appear and nothing else happening...
