Hi,

I just received my PINE A64+ 2GB BOARD, everything works great. Now I'm wondering if I can upgrade the memory?

Thanks,

Hi Osh818,

Glad you have got everything up and running, and welcome to the forum.

As for your question, I assume you mean upgrading the RAM? This was discussed waaay back when this enterprise was still just a kickstarter project, see here.

Tl;dr - 3GB is the maximum possible RAM for use with the A64 chip, as of yet there is no 3GB board.

In terms of modular design, there is the SOPINE compute module. This uses a baseboard which the module plugs into via a SODIMM interface. This type of design lends itself better to hardware upgrades and adaptation - currently there is only one official baseboard and only eMMC storage can be upgraded, but this scope may broaden out in the future.

For the SOPINE compute module, see here.
Thank you, yes I meant RAM and yeah everything works great. Everything runs smoothly, such as Netflix, Youtube & Kodi. I might upgrade the storage though. for now I think 2 GB is enough but looking forward to see 4 or even 6GB RAM like what others were asking for.
