Hello everyone,

i seem to be having a problem with the Ubuntu xenial mate os where i cant resize the monitor in settings, as it dosn't show any of the bars at the top.
I was wondering how i could fix this issue, sorry if I am posting in the wrong sub-forum, I am new.

Your post is fine...

... you cannot change the monitor settings.  The Pine board supports one a couple of hdmi mode lines;; really only supports hdmi 1080p60 and 720p60.

You can set that in /boot/uEnv.txt.

You will have to make sure that your monitor supports those resolutions;  usually any modern flat panel LED  monitor from Samsung or LG.
