Excellent idea. I was already considering doing something similar.

I have stick your post so that more users can use this method to get my attention.
I received my order (2 pines, 2 enclosures, 2 wifi modules, 2 power supplies) a few days ago. The shipping was terribly slow and I was losing hope. And then they arrived!

The packing of the shipment was very austere (not much padding), typically Chinese. (Yup, I live in Hong Kong, so I have plenty of experience.) Despite that, there was no visible or obvious damage.

There were 2 loose microswitches thrown in. I was first worried that something was wrong, then I found a note that these were a gift and I was supposed to solder them in myself. Wow, so I am supposed to finish the assembly myself? I don't have a soldering iron. Fortunately, the Pine works without the switch.

Last night I power up the first Pine. Wow. Works like a charm!  Smile

The Pine is huge and gorgeous!  Heart

Now I want to buy more accessories, but the Backerkit is locked down. Anybody can point me to where I can buy a IR sensor, IR remote etc.?

FWIW, my board (2GB + wifi) was pre-ordered on 29th Feb 2016 via the store. It shipped June 8th 2016 and arrived this morning 13th June 2016.
