Was playing around with the idea of making a SuperMario themed casing for my Pine.
The casing will be made in 3mm acrylic and the overall dimmensions of it will be 135x135x135mm.

I was not able to attach image, but if you follow the link under you can see the "prototype" of the case from my OneDrive album.

The album can be found here...

(The last image is side by side my Lumia 925 as reference to the size of the casing)

Because of the design there is ALOT of room for "shields" and addons to the Pine.

Needless to say this is going to be used as a gaming console...

UPDATE 27. April 2016:
New STL file is uploaded to my Google Drive account.
Newest update is raising the cutouts 5mm to make sure there is room for the soldering points underneath the Pine
The file can be found HERE!

Nice!

Very cubey
And Marioesque Wink
I am working on some CAD drawings of the casing, but they are done by hand because my computer is bust so I cant do them digitally. I will post them here when they are done. Smile
Using the CAD Touch PRO app for my tablet I did manage to make the CAD drawings digitally.
All the drawings is in 1:1 but they are not marked with dimmensions.

Tese CADs are in 2D so if anyone want to make some 3D CADs out of it you are welcome.

The CAD drawings (and preview images) are found here at my oneDrive account.

I am still working on the drawings, but there is just some small cosmetic changes to be made. I will keep you posted on the progress....
EDIT 14. FEB 2016 17:18 : Updated drawings. Added some details to "top", "bottom" and "back".

EDIT 14. FEB 2016 23:50 : Updated drawings. Added feet to "bottom"-drawing.

EDIT 15. FEB 2016 00:19 : Updated drawings. Added detailed "logo"-drawing.

Thank you. New and updated drawings will be placed on the onedrive-folder in a day or two (with all the current measurements).
I am still waiting for a complete blueprint of the board so that I can place the cutouts for all the ports.

EDIT 19. Feb. 2016 12:20 :
  • Updated drawings/pictures of all views. Added measurements on almost all drawings.
  • Added support for 120*120mm fan mounted on the top-plate.
  • Added multiple possibilities for external antenna for WiFi and Bluetooth.
  • Modified feet to have room for rubber/silicone paddings (Ø 8mm).
  • Added "made in" announcement underneath.

The CAD drawings (and preview images) are found here at my oneDrive account.
EDIT 22. Feb 2016 22:15:
  • Added 3D model to the oneDrive account

Thanks to my brother for the 3D renderings.

Yes, very nice indeed!
Is this able to be 3d printed or where can I could get this?
