What is your set up like? Did you use the newest image and phoenixcard?
yes,  using Android Image Release 20160216 burn using phoenixcard write mode startup,..

great for you.

Even if the best solution would be a Kodi h265 HW decode... if Kodi doesn't want to support A64 SoC, maybe there is another "media center app" that can be user friendly with a TV remote, versatile (multiple media sources) and can use native player in background to decode video ?

kodi is NOT just another "media center app" and there is NO replacement for it (besides replacing your hardware) :p

Please see DTS / Dolby thread here.

I tried playing a video with DTS in Kodi with audio passtrough enabled to a DTS-capable receiver.
It seems to kind of work, but the audio skips/resets the connection every 3 seconds or so.

WE still optimizing 4K HDMI output with Allwinner.
I was able to successfully install Remix OS on my 2GB board and there are couple of obvious issues.
1. The overscan issue. The task bar is out of my TV screen. Adjusting the screen size in my TV does not help.
2. When playing videos in Kodi, I hear some sort of a background static noise which is sort of annoying.

Could you please let me know if these are in your list of items to be fixed in the upcoming Update?

The item 1 already on both Android and Remix to do list.
The item 2 is new to us and QA will check on this.
Ok. It looks like there is issue with the sound in Kodi. However, when I try SPMC I don't have this issue.
