I have tried many times to instal different android builds to work with my pine and the pine touch screen I have, and none have worked or even booted up. I installed linux to make sure it wasn't the pine it self, but I was able to boot into and have full functionality. Am I going around the android process wrong? Or is my lcd touch screen faulty? I am using a mac and have downloaded the DD root image for a 64 gb card, and DD to the card, then plug the card into my pine with the lcd touchscreen attached.

Hmm. I assume you downloaded and burned one of the Android images specifically designed for the Pine LCD touchscreen?

Yup it was this one: Android 5.1.1 Image (LCD Panel Video Output) Release 20160603
With the rooted DD image: For 64GB microSD Card

All I did was download and extract the .img from the rooted DD image. Then I DD'ed the image to the 64gb card I have. When it finished, which took over night, I unplugged it and plugged it into my pine, with the lcd panel attached and then plugged in the power.

Did you also try the 32GB image? Some people have reported the file size of the DD images as being ever so slightly too big for their microSD cards, depending on brand (perhaps some brands have a different way of reporting storage space to their host?)

Not sure why it is taking so long to burn, either. It shouldn't take all night.

Something is not right there.
Did you get any sign of life from the LCD? Mine was flickering white due to poorly connected cables.
