So I just received my Rock64 through Amazon with the 16x2 LCD, 5v 3a power adapter and 16gb sd card bundle a few days ago. I have to say, I'm very impressed with it so far. Currently, I'm just focusing on making it into an emulation system rather than a mini desktop. It's the 1GB version, but for my projects I really don't need anything more powerful.

So, I'm looking for small display options for the Rock64 and currently all I'm finding are the ones that hook up to the HDMI port. I do plan on making the rock64 into a portable emulating gaming console sometime in the future. The raspberry pi displays don't obviously work, as those have a ribbon cable, with the Rock64 does not have.

My question is are there any displays that can be hooked up to the PI-2 bus, so the HDMI port can be used for another larger external display if needed? If not, then I'll have to use a small display that connects to the HDMI port on the rock64 such as THIS.

Thanks in advance.
Also, I've noticed that the Rock64 and the Raspberry Pi have the same GPIO layout. Except the Raspberry pi calls pin #19 GPIO 10, pin #21 GPIO 9 and pin #23 GPIO 11. Where as the Rock64's pin #19 is GPIO3_A1, pin #21 GPIO_A2 and pin #23 GPIO3_A0.

Could a display such as the one linked below work with the rock64's pi-2 GPIO bus? I could care less about the touch screen capabilities. As long as the screen works as intended I'm a happy camper.
