Hi,

there was a power button shipped with the pine64. Where do I attach it to the board?

It can be attached as either a power or reset switch, shown on this diagram, labelled 'for Reset button', or 'for Power ON/OFF button' (over on the right hand side of the diagram).

I didn't get a button, was that an add on?

Also, speaking of power,, how do you power it down when running android? via the OS?

You can install a shutdown icon app but the Android need to be rooted version.

My power button was losse in the package, so might be worth to double check?

Here some images to illustrate the installation, just make sure you earth yourself first (touch uncoated metal that is in contact with the ground)
