I installed alsa-utils to test recording from the mic but the below command results in a silent wav file. Audio works fine on telephone calls so I guess I need to configure the input device? Tried alsamixer but no joy - any ideas where I'm going wrong?

Code:
arecord -d 10 test.wav

Edit: I booted up mobian and the above works fine. I guess the default sound capture device is either incorrect or not set.

Can't get a secure connection to the server...

either:
PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR
ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED
depending on browser.

Tried using VPN and TOR as well... No joy

new PureOS image alert...!

Includes fullscreen youtube in default browser out of the box. fullscreen support required updating browser code and thus our custom apt repos, please reflash to get this functionality.
to upgrade phosh just apt upgrade and reboot. enjoy!

you might notice the our git repo is a bit sparse, we lost some data due to my bad linuxing. don't worry, i take backups now!

EDIT: New minor update for the new Community Edition phones. Should also be compatible with Bravehearts.

EDIT2: Phosh now rotates on orientation change!

This is amazing...I just downloaded it and flashed it to an sdcard and popped it into my pinephone and it ROCKS...fast and has a great terminal soft keyboard. I could download and open VLC, but it was scaling strangely...looks like it hasn't be setup for mobile...more of a desktop look...but it RAN!
I'll throw a sim card in there soon to see how calls and sms works. good job! and Thank you!

Just noticed with the recent image that windows picks up the pinephone as a 'multifunction composite gadget' .

We appreciate the positive feedback!! Calls and sms should work out of the box. LTE data should also work, once you set up the apn correctly (i've noticed it sometimes requires a reboot, too.)
