Crust upgrade with updated kernel, boot script, alsa, text-ding (text message led alert), and phosh.

Let me know if anyone encounters any issues, there was a lot changed in this release. Please reflash.

One issue i notice is wifi doesn't reconnect automatically after a reboot. Haven't looked into it much yet.

Seem to be having a problem connecting via ssh on this image but could be my router - will try old image if no joy.

hmm yeah ssh is odd. i had to do hostname -I to get my ip then do ssh purism@ip instead of purism@pureos

Went back to previous image and confirmed ssh working fine. My router allocates a set ip based on the mac address so I use that to connect. Also noticed the wifi dropping on latest image - had to choose forget connection before it would rejoin. Lastly, connecting power whilst off prevented boot for some reason.

I've found the root cause of this one. trying to find out the fix. basically the mac address in
Code:
/etc/NetworkManager/system-connections/<SSID>.nmconnection

is not updating on a reboot.

It appears to be similar to an issue I had on a early debphosh image. The wifi drops are caused by ip conflicts with other devices on the lan. Managed to get it to the correct ip after a few reboots and ssh working again. Not sure if this behaviour is specific to my router though.

thanks, nas its a a known issue (http://pureos.ironrobin.net/git/clover/p...e/issues/1) and we are working on it! Smile Mozzwald is trying different uboots as we think we've narrowed it down to a bootloader issue.

If you or anyone else comes across any bugs please add them to our new git page!

Just curious, what is the purpose of 5mb partition before the boot volume?

Purism packages the Librem 5 image this way. The boot partition contains the kernel, boot script and initramfs. Ultimately, it's not necessary but it's easier for us to use their premade rootfs and leave it as is.

The 'empty' space before the boot partition holds the bootloader.
