Hello !

The Pine64 seems wonderfull, I would like one for media center pupose.
I curently have a Rpi 2 (no spdif and no hevc/h265).

I have 3 questions :
- It say in the faq SPDIF is supported via I2S but there is no info on the wiki, is it working ?
- Does the POT DAC still in developement ?
- If I buy a Rpi Wolson audio card (like this http://www.ebay.fr/itm/HIFI-DiGi-Digital...SwwE5WWYAW ) can I adapt it to the Pine64 ?

Thanks !

- SPDIF and I2S are two different audio interface.
- Sorry on the POT DACX delay. The prototype board already build up.
- The PRi audio card will not work on Pine64 due to PRi I2S signal combo with GPIO and Pine64 is dedicate I2S pins.

I'm one of the OS developers at volumio.org and will start preparing the port of Volumio 2 to pine64 next week.
First thing is backporting the overlay filesystem to longsleep's kernel 3.10.x BSP. Did that for another sbc on version 3.10.23, so should be straight forward. Once that is done, I can start with the build procedure.

Hi,
Did not see a clear reply about the ouputs...
Is there an headphone output, able to drive 300-600 ohms devices?

Hi,
Patched the kernel (3.10.104 BSP) for the overlayfs filesystem and thanks to longsleep's excellent info at  https://github.com/longsleep/build-pine64-image I could build the Volumio OS image from scratch today.
Onboard audio jack is working, but I don't think audiophiles will ever use it as the DAC seems to be very limited regarding audio formats.
Instead I used an XMOS USB Audio DAC for testing, which was working perfectly with HiRES audio. No clicks/ pops or other artifacts.
Onboard Wifi is working fine, including the hotspot function for Volumio to allow configuration while being wireless.
Have not found any real issues yet, we will publish the image on the volumio download page https://volumio.org/get-started/ when ready.

Thanks!
Any plan to test the pine64+volumio using a direct I2S connection to the DAC?
