Pinebook Pro - Store Parts
#21
The only hard part is the trackpad. No screws. You will have to use pushing force for some time to get it off the plastic. Be patient.

I replaced my ISO keyboard today. Not difficult; go slow and follow the PPT slides. I just put the screws and parts in an ordered stack; made it easy to reassemble. A couple of notes:
  • On first boot, the keyboard didn't work. Some keys would register a random character. Make sure you have a USB keyboard handy. It worked fine. I did a keyboard/trackpad patch. I followed the Manjaro procedure. On reboot, the keyboard works fine.
  • The screen was very dim, almost unreadable. FN+F2 worked to increase the display.
I wish threre were a backlit keyboard available.

I naively assumed it would come with some type of instructions on how to do the replacement. No such luck.

Does anyone have procedures on how to do the replacement?

Thanks.
I would like to know that too! I have ordered a replacement as well, and unless somebody else posts a howto, I am planning on taking a video of me taking it apart, then playing it back in reverse and hoping for the best  Smile .

I'm looking forward to it! If I get some time and some nerve, I may give it a try.

I sent a note to support asking for documentation. They sent a PDF with pictures on how to do the replacement. I've attached the document.
