Lets check for MESA Driver and DRI Smile

Running Fedora 30 with kernel-5.2.8, here is what inxi -G shows:

Graphics:
  Device-1: sun50i-a64-mali driver: lima v: kernel
  Device-2: sun8i-a83t-dw-hdmi driver: N/A
  Display: x11 server: Fedora Project X.org 1.20.5
  driver: fbdev,modesetting resolution: 1920x1080~N/A
  OpenGL: renderer: llvmpipe (LLVM 8.0 128 bits) v: 3.3 Mesa 19.1.3

I have no trouble playing videos, and glxgears gets 130FPS.  I have no plans to play even tux racer...

What I most want to see working is CPU scaling.  Second most is internal wifi.

Did you build fedora for the pinebook by yourself or did you follow any project release?

It would be interesting to share your configuration with the community Wink

Thanks!

Does anyone know what Kernel driver would be needed to get the old first generation (non 1080p) Pinebook's screen working in 5.2?

Should that not be the same driver?
The GPU and in fact almost the whole SoC is the same, only the display control for the LCD is different and I don't think that matters for this case?

You may be correct, but if so, why are distros separated by original pinebook and pinebook 1080 on the pine installer tool and elsewhere? I can attest that some of these do not install/function correctly when installed on first gen pinebooks.  They do work (mostly) when connected to an external monitor.
