What exactly is a Euler Bus?

Question
This question came up on the kickstarter comments page, if anyone could give a brief (or detailed) explanation of what the Euler Bus is and does, that would be great.

Euler bus consider as an extension to Pi bus, it has more UART ports, SPI ports, I2S ports, AV ports and more GPIOs. It also has speaker port and you can connect a small speaker to the port.

Thanks to you, tllim. So the Euler Bus is an extended Input Output interface that allows for further connections of various types from external devices, such as speakers.

To clarify those port types (please correct if wrong):

UART = Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter
(https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universa...ransmitter)
SPI = Serial Peripheral Interface
(https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_P...erface_Bus)
I²S= Integrated Interchip Sound
(https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/I%C2%B2S)
AV = Audio/Video
(https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_an...connectors)
GPIO = General Purpose Input/Output

Now that I don't know. There is a pin-out for the Euler Bus in this doc, second page. The Pi-2 interface pin-out is also documented on the first page.

Euler Bus has I²S ports rather than I²C. At least that's what the pin-out seems to indicate...there are perhaps some I²C ports on the Pi-2 interface...

Yes, there is an I2C bus at the Pi-2 interface pin 3 and 5. an I2C bus can be used for many DIY projects e.g. A/D or D/A converters etc. ets.

On the EULER pin out, are the 3.3v pins (1, 17) inputs or outputs?

Thank you.
