Airgapped Pinephone already reaches standby time of 6-8 days

Thumbs Up
Hi,

I did a "quick" experiment to find out how long the Pinephone can stay on with all radios disabled (4G, wifi, bluetooth). It seems that this is at around 6-8 days now. I tested this on postmarketOS 21.12 on a braveheart device upgraded to the v1.2 mainboard. See also this issue:

I think about retrying the same experiment but with the device being connected to the mobile network this time.

A few months ago I was able to get a few days on standby with Mobian, only about an hour playing a video or similar though.

I tried playing webradio via firefox over wifi on pmOS, and this worked very well for several hours (without doing precise measurements, though).

With the screen on the battery Does go down quite fast, even just texting, I have on occasion talked for 2 full hours, but that leaves it almost dead.

The idle/sleep time seems to be improving, incoming calls with ample time to answer those calls is working well on my Pine phones.
if you forget and leave the screen on it will go dead quite quickly, so turn off your screen when not in use.!

Charging seems to have improved, with the battery at 16% and above it recharges very fast, when it falls into the lower percentages, it seems to start charging at a very low rate.
causing much longer charging times.

I am running a recent release of Mobian plus all the updates, ... ( I am still using the sd card)

Put the Pinephone in my bag today at 0600. Got to work and looked at it 1200, it was on 97%. Only the cellular radio was connected. BT was actually off and the Wifi was just not connected to a hotspot. I connected it to the work router and after 10 mins, battery level was down to 85%. It HAD downloaded two emails and a 100MB update.

It received two more emails by 1600 when I checked it, and was very warm.. Battery level was 22%... After disconnecting the wifi, and driving home with just the cellular connection (4G) i arrived at 1800 with 18%, so it appears the wifi consumes a great deal of power..

Is that the experience others are having?
