@ALBNC1974 yes, @ayufan is a long time forum member, but I think he is more active on IRC/discord channel.

You are right the sound works, I just unmuted all the channels in alsamixer and voila Smile

I think that in a few days I will install this system ito NVMe.

does sleep/wake work for you/anybody?   Mine looks like it's sleeping, but there's no way to revive it without long-press hard power cycle.

I have the same problem, so I just disabled sleep and set monitor turning of when pressing the power button and closing the lid.

I found a suggestion to get the sound working too. You can find it here: https://github.com/ayufan-rock64/linux-build/issues/435#issuecomment-638570052

Sorry didn't see the similar suggestion above.

I've found that sleep works fine using the sleep key (fn-esc on the US kb), so I've set mine to sleep on the sleep key, but only screen blank on lid close.  the only think that's weird about it, is that the power key is required to wake from sleep, but then the OS registers the press of the power key, so you need to make sure your power key is setup to ask or do-nothing or something other than auto power off or sleep.

at this point, I'm happy enough with the experience that I've flashed this to my emmc.

great work @ayufan ... thank you!   let me know if you're interested in any help (I'm a Mate user, I'd love to help get your mate image working)

RE: Ayufan's Ubuntu Focal Gnome (20.04) - Wizzard - 06-08-2020

I tried Fn-Esc and it does not work properly. Everything shuts down including led and the only way how to "wake it up" is to hard press the power key for a few seconds and then it boots again. Using KDE Plasma.

Wups. Tried to write this image to eMMC but borked it. It doesn't boot from either eMMC or SD. Just a red light at power up followed by a very shortly flashing green one. So need to start perusing the forums to get back on track.
Just me thinking I could do it using gnome-disks rather than dd.

Anyone els successful in writing to eMMC? Any suggestions for doing it without borking it?

Forum is loaded now with these kind of issues, some guidance might be needed. Even experienced people are struggling.
I imagined getting the PBP and I would immediately install Debian or Ubuntu, but TBH I am no longer confident I would take the risk.

Oh, in this case I was just overconfident. Flash sd-cards to your hearts desire and boot them, you won't bork anything. I flash mine on an X86 Ubuntu desktop with gnome-disks and they all run just fine. Just make sure you use good sd-cards. I made the mistake of using an old one, didn't work..
