The future of the PinePhone - Computer semi-expert - 03-02-2020

I read elsewhere on this site (the December casual update) that the Pinephone will be supplied for "at least 5 years." Which leads to the question: when Pinephone production ceases, will the Pinephone 2 be available? (I think everyone would want a Pinephone 2 to follow the Pinephone.)

Lets focus on what we have now. No interest to create "Osborne effect".

Nobody knows what market conditions will be like 5 years from now, so they can't possibly tell you.

Proposing to keep an existing model available for 5 years is easier since if there's no demand, your stocks won't be depleted, and if there is demand, you can always make another batch.
