new battery. - pjsf - 02-27-2020

Just got a new battery for the fun of it, and to have a spare. Basically I just got the cheapest one from the local ebay resellers (under Au$ 14).
listed as an  "EB-BJ700BBC".

Seems to work quite well, only problem was that it a had two small plastic nubs at the bottom (i think they must fit into some positioning holes on the inteded handset) which stopped it from fitting. After I filed those off it it just drops in and seems quite tight.

Who knows how it will perform, but the form factor is right.

Nice, thanks for the info! I tend to look for a higher capacity battery now and then, but so far has not pulled the trigger. Being able to fit a 3700-4000mah battery would be a nice upgrade, however most of the large capacity batteries I have found don´t really look that "trustworthy".

I know what you mean. I've just bought this one as a baseline test, and will have a go at finding a "Premium" solution later. The only thing I've seen that looks promising comes from a German company, they're quite expensive (around three times the price!) and only claim around 3175mah, but that at least sounds feasible from a energy density/form factor perspective.
