Sorry about being impatient, but is there any plan about 20.04 pre release? Smile

I have been trying to figure out how to run Signal Desktop on the pinebook pro running Ubuntu 18.04 (as found from this thread), but alas, there is no client for the armhf architecture. Apparently Justin Grant has been able to build a client from source, however, the build is no longer functional. I don't know how to build the client myself, and haven't found instructions on how to do so either. Would anyone here know how to go about setting up Signal Desktop (on Ubuntu 18.04 running on the pinebook pro)?

I notice that the debian image has 2 partitions while the Ubuntu image has 7. Is there a trick to writing Ubuntu to the SD? I've tried etcher too. I'd really appreciate any pointers. Initially I thought it might be a problem with my PBP but I'm not too sure now I've seen it boot debian from SD. I've also had android booting from SD.

That's interesting, as I can't boot Ubuntu LXDE either. I'm going to check Mate version, but I guess I'll receive the same result. Well ,I think I'll try then Debian version...

I, too, can't get the Bionic Mate SD to boot. I've tried flashing the SD with gnome disks and dd, I've tried expanding the root partition to fill the empty space on the card using gparted (which also asked to fix the GPT to include the extra space), and I've tried a 32GB SD as well as a 128GB SD. What steps can be taken to troubleshoot this? I'm using the default debian 9 stretch OS on the PBP to flash the image bionic-mate-pinebookpro-0.9.14-1159-armhf.img from https://github.com/ayufan-rock64/iinux-build/releases/download/0.9.14/bionic-mate-pinebookpro-0.9.14-1159-armhf.img.xz. The seven partitions were a surprise to me, too.

If someone missed it, I just want to share this post with working Ubuntu 20.04 with Manjaro 5.5 kernel.

Running into an issue where images I've written to an SD card are not booting by default now that I have installed the Ubuntu image to the EMMC. Anyone got any ideas about what might be going on here?
