Inexpensive USB Microphone Option - Ron Piggott - 12-25-2015

Hi Everyone

I've found this inexpensive USB microphone and headset

I won't know if this is compatible until I receive my 'Pine 64'.  I wanted to share this to encourage those who need a microphone there are inexpensive options for those who are willing to wait a few weeks for a shipment coming from China.

Ron

You no need this USB module, just plugin the typical mini-jack earphone with mic that comes with smartphone will do the job.

What about if we want to use the PINE as a Skype system? i.e. set it up in the lounge as a media centre, using the camera add-on? How should we enable a microphone in this situation? (I am assuming the camera add-on does not have a mic.)

The airmouse that we add in backkerkit has mic feature and this resolve your concern.

Hello tllim, can you confirm that the microphone found in this air mouse works on android? I need to create a voice command environment using the pine, but I also need to keep the audio output to HDMI.
