So Mine is running everything fine except it seems like everything i play has a static sound that comes and goes. I changed HDMI cords, tried different video sources... what else can i try?

It is very annoying when you are trying to get into a movie and all of a sudden you get a deep static noise in the background for about 5-30 sec then goes away for a 1 to 3 minutes. Any steps i can try that i can't think of?

And will there be a new DD Image?

I don't know why, but just the DD Images works for me.

I have tested the Ethernet function on Pine A64+ 2GB board. We will release the DD image on this week. The DD image also "avoid" the initial first time boot up sluggishness.

Glad to hear that a DD img is coming, seeing as I cannot make the phoenix card to burn the img properly. I have tried 20-odd times and I am about to give up.

And then the symptoms will change. Now people will fail burning the image with Phoenix Card stuck at '[boot]Burn success' followed by 'Error'. With dd they will succeed burning the image but then fail booting.

What about recommending Rufus instead? Rufus at least allows to verify whether the image has been burnt correctly.

Phoenix card dose not work with my built in SD reader for some reason. But works with an old usb adapter, attached to a OTG cable, Lol!

And guess what? The answer is super simple: reason N° 2, 2nd sentence: http://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=514 (you experienced 'data corruption on the fly' that Phoenix Card was able to detect but is not responsible for. With the old USB adapter it took longer and no data corruption occured so Phoenix Card's checksum verify succeeded and it doesn't stop with "Error" in between but burned all partitions on the card).

Now with 'DD images' in a similar situation you burn the image without any indication of an error and the board doesn't boot up or crashes later (since it's still data corruption -- this time undetected. And that makes me LOL! Since all my recommendations to get past this point are happily ignored by both Pine64 folks and users. It's too funny that this is still an issue the forums are full of  Big Grin  )

I have installed it and it works fine apart from my ethernet connection. I get activity lights but no IP address. The cable works OK as I use this on another machine. Also, can you use a wifi dongle with Remix OS?

When are we getting the DD image for latest build?

So just to add something.. I have put a 100MB switch between my Pine and my gigabit switch and this fixed my issue. May help someone else!
