Has anyone been able to get an emulator working on arch? I've been trying to get mupen64plus setup but I've been having some issues

Hey

Did you also tried this release?

Which bluetooth controller are you using?

Havent tried it yet as I was told it has no root access... waiting for root to be able to use my two PS4 controllers with android (sixaxis app needs root access to start its services)
Next weeks release will be pre-rooted so I'm waiting for it.

RE: Gaming Compatibility - octopus - 04-23-2016

Sixaxis app is meant to root the controller buttons to android, is that correct?

Sixaxis app takrs controll over the units bluetooth (turns it OFF before starting its services) and than you can do keymapping and virtual touch mapped to buttons on the conteoller

RE: Gaming Compatibility - octopus - 04-23-2016

To map*, not to root, but you understood me.

Ok, I need to use sixaxis, that's why my pine doesn't react to any buttons of my controller.
If I understood, Android must be rooted for sixaxis to work correctly. I'll wait for the pre-rooted version of May then Wink

Thanks

RE: Gaming Compatibility - Keex - 05-04-2016

Yesterday I tried (on Android) Super Nintendo Emulation using Snes9x and N64 emulation using Mupen64 and something called just N64 Emulator (which seems to be based on Mupen64).

SNES worked great out of the box.

N64 usng Mupen64 was very laggy, and sound crackled, but ran better on the other emulator. However it still struggled with the framerate.

Controlling with Xbox360 worked flawlessly.

I tried oddly similar games about a plumber (probably freeware *cough*) on both consoles.

And FINALLY!!!

I finally got my DualShock4 controllers to work with the Pine (2Gb model running Android ××0505 build) and have just started testing games for real...
Here is what I have found out so far:

Thanks!

I have. The only emulator I have tried yet is the John SNES emulator. The other games are official games for android.  Cool
